    This email is to notify all trade partners that there will be a test conducted today on the RNO4 Roof in cloud 600.

    System: Chilled water
    Pressure: 150 PSI
    Duration: 2 hours

    Start time: 9/15 1500
    End Time: 9/15 1730

    All,

    Take a moment to review the attached document regarding carbon monoxide (CO) hazards and safety protocols. Note that most gas monitoring devices are set to factory settings and may need to be adjusted to meet our site standards.

    General Gas Monitoring
    • CO at 50ppm: When the monitor detects 50ppm, implement additional measures:
    o Use displacement fans inside the building.
    o Remove combustion-powered equipment from the building, such as:
     Welding machines
     Boom lifts
     Gas-powered equipment
     Ect…
    o If a subcontractor wants to utilized gas monitoring the following needs to be in place. This is for non-confined space activities.
     Loggers name
     Quad monitor Type:
     Quad monitor Calibrations Date:
     Time of the event:
     Location of the active readings:
     CO Readings at time of the evacuation:
     Chart of Active Read:
    • CO at 200ppm: Evacuate the building until CO levels drop below 50ppm.
    Please remember that symptoms can occur at CO levels between 200ppm and 400ppm, similar to placing your face near an exhaust pipe.
